History SynphaBase AG was founded in December 2000 by
Prof. Dr. Ernst Hungerbuehler, Dr. Arthur Bodenmueller and Beat Fuchs as a
start-up company in close relationship to the University of Applied Sciences
Basel (FHBB), now the University of Life Science (FHNW). In 2002 SynphaBase moved its research laboratories
to the BZM across the street from the FHNW. End of July 2007 we moved into our new premises in
Pratteln, where we can speed up our processes through short distances The main focus of the company was at first the
development and synthesis of chiral compounds serving either as building
blocks in combinatorial chemistry or as starting materials in organic
synthesis. With a special know-how in carbohydrates and peptides but also a
broad expertise in handling the variety of chemical reactions, the first
partners laid the foundation for the success of SynphaBase. Due to our clients requests we expanded early into
the whole organic-chemical area and have finished over 800 very different
projects since. |
